Beach on the brain!

The hubby and I decided to spend a week at the beach next month...a baby-moon of sorts. Our last trip as a family of two, because in August we'll have little Aubrey and she makes three!! So with all this talk about going to the beach, I guess I have beach on the brain.

I decided to use my Seaside stamp set with the Sanded background stamp - I thought that combo looked really "beachy" together. I couldn't remember the last time that I used my Pastels, so I pulled them out, dusted them off, and put them to good use! I stamped the conch shell in VersaMark and used the Poppin' Pastels technique to really make the image pop. I distressed the edges of the Whisper White and then matted it with Chocolate Chip.

I used my Crop-A-Dile to set a pewter Jumbo Eyelet in the corner and then tied a piece of the double stitched River Rock grosgrain ribbon through the hole. I couldn't decide on a greeting, so I chose to stamp one of the definitions from the Define Your Life stamp set in the bottom right corner. I just love the simplicity of this card and until I can make it to the beach in May, this seashell will have to do!
