I'm baaaaa-aaaack!

OK – Its been a very long time since my last post…like 2 whole months!!! So let me catch you up on a just a couple of things. I’m still having internet issues, but I’ve decided to hijack wireless access wherever possible until I can convince my hubby to break down and get HughesNet. The other day my hubby had to try and navigate our super-slow and totally unreliable dial-up and he realized just how aggravating it is. So I don’t think I’m too far away from getting a new system!

Lets see…what else is new?!? I’M PREGNANT! Yep, my hubby and I are expecting our first child at the end of August. The first few months brought all-day nausea and a ginormous cyst that put me on restricted physical activity. Needless to say, the restricted physical activity part really limited my time in the craft room. Actually it limited time doing anything other than sitting in the recliner, reading Stampin’ Success and doing word searches! But now we’re smooth sailing. I’m 18 weeks so we find out the sex in about a week and a half. Woo hoo!!

Considering this fabulous news, I thought that it was only appropriate that the first project posted after this little hiatus be a baby card! This is a project from the March Stamp Camp – Rock & Roll. Each project used on of Stampin’ Up!’s regular or jumbo wheels. This one uses the jumbo wheel Nursery Letters.

The Nursery Letters wheel was inked with my Soft Sky Classic Stampin’ Pad and wheeled along the bottom of the card front. The patterned paper is Soft Sky Designer Series Paper lined with a ¼” border of Barely Banana and layered over the previously wheeled letters. The star image from Nursery Necessities was stamped with Certainly Celery on a piece of scrap paper and then punched out with my large star punch. The punched star is mounted on the scalloped square with dimensionals and then the scalloped square is layered on the card front with dimensionals. Inside I stamped “rock a bye baby” in Soft Sky.

I think this card would work as a congratulations card, a baby shower card, or even a thank you (once my little bundle of joy arrives)!
