Needless to say, things have been a little chaotic around here. Thank goodness for the long weekend - I was able to play (uninterrupted, I might add) in my stamp room. Here is one of the projects I worked on:
Its a transparency card. Stampin' Up! used to carry Window Sheets. Due to a quality control problem, they no longer offer them. The good news is that you can substitute clear transparency sheets from your local office supply store. Just make sure that you don't get the thin ones - they'll work for shaker cards and such, but they are a little to flimsy for these cards!
For this card I layered a piece of the Almost Amethyst striped designer paper from the Pallette O' Prints promotion on to a Whisper White card base. The transparency was cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and then scored at 4 1/4" to fit over the Whisper White card base. Then using the White Stazon pad, I stamped the large swirly flourish from Doodle This and happy from Happy Everything on the front of the transparency. (Inside the card I stamped everything in Almost Amethyst). A piece of amethyst organdy ribbon was tied around the front of the card to secure the transparency to the card base!
Stay tuned - there is more to follow soon!
